We invite you to join HAABE, a professional organization dedicated to linguistically and culturally diverse students.

HAABE membership is comprised of bilingual and ESL teachers, parents, and para-professionals from school districts in Houston and the surrounding areas from both elementary and secondary school grades.  In addition, administrators from central offices as well as university professors take an active role in HAABE.

The Houston area is diverse and is becoming more so.  Because we know that the schools are not homogenous, HAABE works diligently to provide equitable treatment for students and teachers, regardless of their heritage or the type of program (bilingual or ESL) in which they work. 

Remember, when you join HAABE, you automatically join TABE, the Texas Association for Bilingual Education.  If you also want to join NABE, the National Association for Bilingual Education, you may do so through payroll deduction (check with your school district for availability).
